House Call: Colon Cancer Awareness

By WSIL Manager

WSIL -- March is National Colon Cancer Awareness Month.  It's a disease that is preventable and treatable if caught early enough.

People over the age of 50 without a history of colon cancer should get a colonoscopy every 10 years.  If you have a history, talk to your doctor about when the time is right for you.

A local colo-rectal surgeon weighs in on the issue in our House Call segment.  Click the video player for the details.
