Friday Fail: Social Media Leads To Arrest
ROSENBURG, TX -- Police in Texas say two brothers, Damian and Rolando Lozano, burglarized 17 cars on Sunday.
Damian was quickly arrested, but Rolando got away.
So Rosenburg Police posted Rolando's picture on their Facebook page, asking the public for help finding him.
A short time later , Rolando decided to comment on the police department's post.
The comment included the phrase, "I'm innocent... catch me if you can," along with several expletives.
As you might guess, Rolando was caught soon after posting that.
According to the comment the police department made, the response time may have been as quick as five minutes.
Officers say tips from the community traced Rolando to a relative's house where he was hiding.
He was arrested on burglary charges and joined his brother in jail.
Police actually posted a collage on their Facebook page, and as of Friday morning it has nearly 2000 likes and more than 600 shares, making it an easy choice for this week's Friday Fail.
And just for an extra fun fact, the relative who lived at the house Rolando was hiding in, also had a warrant, so police made two arrests for the price of one.
