WSIL  --  The World Cup has had a record setting number of people tuning into watch, and even though it's happening more than 5,000 miles away in Brazil, tournament is having an effect in our region.

Some local businesses we spoke with say they're opening early and will have extra staff for the matches.

Tres Hombres, Pinch Penny Pub, and Buffalo Wild Wings are just a few places that will be open in time for the 11 a.m. kick-off on Thursday.

But some businesses are seeing more than just a bump at the cash register. Buffalo Wild Wings stock prices have surged to an all-time high during the World Cup.

As Team USA continues to play, many businesses expect to stay busy.
