MARION -- A Johnston City woman accused of murder has been found unfit to stand trial.

Tamara Williams, 30, is charged with four counts of murder in the November 15 stabbing death of Barbara Beers.

Williams was arrested by Tennessee authorities a day after the murder but fought extradition and didn't return to Illinois until January.

A spokesperson for the Williamson County State's Attorney's Office says Williams was found mentally unfit to stand trial during a court appearance Monday. She has been remanded into the custody of the Illinois Department of Human Services.

A court appearance is scheduled for June 23.
