HARRISBURG -- Students in Saline County are honoring a teacher diagnosed with cancer.

On Thursday, 700 students and staff at West Side Primary gathered on the playground to create a human rainbow as a tribute to Melinda Wolf.

Wolf was diagnosed with brain cancer in February. She had surgery nearly two months ago and returned to work this week. The rainbow was designed to welcome her back and let her know she's not alone.

"Today just touches my heart. It's a blessing. I am blessed with so many things, and I thank God everyday for all my blessings," said Wolf.

Wolf returns to the Mayo Clinic for more treatments in June.
