Victims Identified in Fatal Rt 13 Crash

WILLIAMSON COUNTY -- Friends and family mourn the three people killed in a multi-car crash along Route 13.

The accident happened Monday night at Cambria Road and Route 13. Police worked into the early morning hours investigating and identifying the victims. 
 
Frank Walker, 47,  was the oldest of the victims. He was a well-known OB GYN who practiced at New Horizons in Carbondale for years.  
 
"To me he was one of the best doctors that I had seen," said patient Ashli Benton. "He cared about his patients and it wasn't just business to him. It was more of a passion." 
 
Walker delivered hundreds of newborns in Carbondale, including two of Benton's children. 
 
"I immediately started to cry," said Benton. "I had a strong relationship with him throughout the years."
 
She describes Walker as a family man, who leaves behind two young children.  
 
"He always talked about his two daughters, I know his family is from Chicago," said Benton.  
 
The youngest of the three victims was 18-year-old Abdullah Alfadhli. Alfadhli was a freshman from Kuwait who arrived on campus this year. He was studying english and engineering.  
 
State police say he crashed into the third driver, 29-year-old Stephanie Stowers who was also killed. The 29-year-old had recently moved to Marion from West Virginia.
