Tornado Touched Down in Jackson County

JACKSON CO. -- We now have confirmation that a tornado did touch down in our area during severe weather Thursday evening. The National Weather Service classified it as an EF1 tornado.
It traveled along a nearly half mile path in Jackson County near Poplar Ridge and Wiley roads. A few trees in the area had been snapped and there was debris in the roadway. NWS also reported some damage to siding on some homes.
No one was injured.
