DONGOLA- Police said a teenage boy is in custody after stabbing two people and leading officials on a high speed chase.

It all started just after six o'clock Monday night in Dongola.

"One ambulance, six squad car, it was crazy," said Austin Hammonds, a witness to the commotion.

Police said the 16-year-old, who they are not naming, attacked his mother then stabbed his ex-girlfriend's 15-year-old sister. Officials said the two were stabbed in the back and neck.

"They said that the boy was dating her...and then I guess they got into a confrontation and then it all went down from there," said Hammonds.

The suspect was arrested after crashing his car into a Union County patrol vehicle. Officials said the victims have non-life threatening injuries and are being treated at Union County Hospital. The mother was released Monday night.

The suspect is expected to appear in court Wednesday. He could face numerous charges, including DUI and attempting to flee from police.
