One Man Seriously Injured in Route 14 Crash

FRANKLIN CO. -- A crash on Highway 14 has left one man in critical condition.

It happened around 5:57 p.m. Wednesday. Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones said a 2004 Chevy Cavalier was traveling westbound on Route 14 at Liberty Road near the county line when it lost control and hit the rear of a 2004 Ford Expedition. The driver and 5 passengers in the Ford were not injured.

The driver of the Chevy, Anthony L. Snyder, 21, of Belle Rive, was pinned inside his vehicle. He suffered major injuries and was taken to Franklin Hospital in Benton then transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

The crash is still under investigation.
