WSIL  --  From baked sweets to freshly paved streets, there are a lot of new things coming to southern Illinois.

A new bridge will be coming to Crainville. It will run over Route 13 and connect two sections of Wolf Creek Road. The project is still out for bid, so no start or end date is set yet.

Considering some spring renovations? There's a new place in Herrin that can help. A Step Above Kitchen and Bath opened another location at 3108 South Park Avenue. They specialize in custom cabinets, counter tops and fixtures.

If you need cash fast, theres a new place to turn in West City.  The Title Max off Route 14 is almost complete. It's part of a nationwide lending chain that offers customers title loans.

A new shop near downtown Du Quoin will satisfy your sweet tooth. Baked by Gene is aiming to open their doors at 22 North Division Street by the end of the month.  But right now they're taking orders on Facebook for their specialty cakes, cookies and cupcakes.

Speaking of sweets, Dunkin Donuts is heading to Carbondale. The city council approved building permits at their last meeting. It's set to open by July 1 near the Subway on Rendleman Road.
