Murphysboro Police Investigating Robbery

MURPHYSBORO -- The Jackson County State's Attorney says Armond Clemons was in court Tuesday and was sentenced for a home burglary that happened back in May. He's now accused of robbing the Family Video the same night.

MURPHYSBORO -- Police have identified the suspect involved in Tuesday's robbery as Armond Clemons.  A warrant was obtained and Clemons was arrested just after 4:00 p.m. Thursday.  

Police say the investigation is continuing.  Additional updates will be made as the case evolves.

MURPHYSBORO -- Murphysboro Police are investigating a robbery at Family Video.

Officers were called to the video store just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

An employee told police a man came into the store, said he had a weapon, and demanded money. The man took the cash and fled south of the building.

The robber is described as bald black man, believed to be in his early to mid 30s, around 6 feet tall and weighing between 185 and 200 pounds.
