MURPHYSBORO -- A Jackson County man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for a 2013 fatal shooting in Carbondale.

Kely Y. Arbuckle, 26, of Murphysboro, was sentenced Wednesday in Jackson County court.

Arbuckle was convicted in January of first degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm in the death of Toren Stanley. Authorities said Arbuckle killed Stanley, 20, of Marion, during a drive-by shooting Mar. 9, 2013 at the intersection of East Grand and South Giant City Road. Arbuckle was taken into custody in St. Francis County, Arkansas nearly two weeks later.

In addition to the 100-year sentence for Stanley's murder, Arbuckle was also sentenced to 20 years in prison on drug charges.
