Missouri Residents Face Meth Charges in Union County
JONESBORO -- Two Missouri residents are facing meth charges in Union County.
Tamatha J. Gottschall and James R. Charles, both 37 and from East Prairie, Missouri, are charged with one count of unlawful participation in meth production and one count of conspiracy: unlawful possession of meth precursors.
Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds says the pair is accused of purchasing products containing ephedrine or pseudoephdrine from an Anna business 80 times during 2012 and 2013. The products can be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Gottschall and Charles are each being held in the Jackson County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The investigation was conducted by the Jackson, Johnson and Union County Sheriff's Offices with assistance from the Missouri Highway Patrol.
