MARION -- A local garden, getting ready for a tour, will feature stonework from an internationally recognized artist.

Thea Alvin from Vermont has been featured in the New York Times and will soon appear on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

She's in Marion to help Greg Reed and Diana Tigerlilly, owners of  Mandala gardens.

Thea has already completed one project in the garden called the infinity arch. Now she's finishing another, a landscape called a moongate.

It's all in preparation for a tour of the garden June 14.  The event is open to the public.  It will feature a walking tour and yoga class.

Mandala Gardens is located on State Street on the north side of Marion.
