Man Charged with DUI After Head On Collision

WILLIAMSON CO.- A West Frankfort man faces DUI charges after he hit a car head-on Friday night.

Police say the accident happened around 9:37 pm, just south of Harmony Church Rd. on Route 37.

Michael Scurlock, 30, of West Frankfort was driving south on Route 37 when he hit a car head on.

The northbound vehicle, driven by Debbie House, 49, of West Frankfort, had four passengers, all minors. All five occupants in the northbound vehicle were taken to Herrin Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Scurlock has been charged with DUI, improper lane usage, and driving a vehicle uninsured.
