Johnston City Woman Charged in Crash

WILLIAMSON CO. -- A Johnston City woman is facing several charges after a traffic accident south of Marion.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday on Route 37 at Reservoir Road

Illinois State Police a Ford F150 driven by Stefany J. Webb, 33, was northbound on Route 37 when the truck left the road, hit a culvert and an embankment, and landed in a ditch.

Webb was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center then transferred to a St. Louis hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Webb is charged with driving under the influence, driving while license revoked, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to wear a seat belt, improper lane usage, expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Department, Lake of Egypt Fire Department and Williamson County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
