Herrin Altercation Leaves One Man Injured

HERRIN -- Herrin Police continue to investigate after a Sunday morning fight that left one man injured.

Police were called to the corner of Park and Cherry Streets around 2:15 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unresponsive man.

Officer David Dorris says the man was taken to Herrin Hospital then flown to a St. Louis hospital for treatment of a head injury.

Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses. No arrests have been made.

HERRIN -- Police are investigating an altercation that left one man with injuries.

It happened early Sunday morning on the corner of Park Avenue and Cherry Street. One man was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but there's no word yet on the extent of those injuries.

Herrin Police say it is still an on-going investigation.
