MURPHYSBORO-- A Jackson County family is moving into their brand new home.

Habitat for Humanity and the Egyptian Board of Realtors officially handed over the keys Saturday morning to a house on Clark Street in Murphysboro.

The home now belongs to Kristen Beck, a single mother who had fallen on hard times.

Organizers say the Beck Family has been part of the project since day one.

"She's showing her family a different way of living," said realtor Janet McCready. "Going from not having anything to putting your heart and soul into something and coming out better on the other side, and that's going to be a really great example to her family."

The Beck Family says they're excited to move in and start their new lives.
