Guilty Verdict Returned in Obstruction Case
WHITE CO. -- An Olney woman has been convicted of obstructing justice in a White County murder investigation.
Candice Brown, 31, was found guilty Wednesday of two counts of obstructing justice. White County State's Attorney Denton Aud says a jury deliberated for about an hour before returning the verdict.
Brown was arrested in September 2012 for lying to authorities investigating the shooting deaths of 17-year-old Jessie Evans and 22-year-old Jacob Wheeler. Brown's boyfriend, Danny Coston, was convicted of murder and criminal sexual assault in their deaths and sentenced to 53 years in prison.
A sentencing hearing for Brown is set for March 26.
