Fairfield Teacher Faces More Videotaping Charges

BELLEVILLE, IL (AP) - A southern Illinois math teacher accused of videotaping girls in a high school locker room now is charged with illegally videotaping girls in a motel bathroom.

St. Clair County prosecutors have charged Timothy Going of Fairfield with four counts related to the videotaping. They say it happened last November in the bathroom of a Super 8 motel in Fairview Heights. The criminal complaint alleges Going video recorded girls ages 15 to 18.

Going already had been charged in Wayne County with illegally placing a video camera in the girls' locker room at Fairfield Community High School.

The district's superintendent, David Savage, says Going is suspended with pay, pending the investigation's outcome.

Going remains jailed in Wayne County.

A woman who answered the telephone Wednesday at a listing for Going hung up without comment.
