HERRIN -- Elementary students spent Tuesday dancing and singing with a special guest who led the musical fun.

John Jacobson visited Herrin Elementary School to teach students moves to his choreographed songs. Jacobson calls himself a "music educator", but he may be best known for his video "Double Dream Hands", a dance routine that has more than 6 million views on YouTube.

Jacobson says he travels to schools to teach students and teachers ways to incorporate music into the classroom.

"I think it's really a natural thing for kids to do and it's good for their fitness, it's good for their psyche, it's good to release all the endorphins and get them feeling good about themselves," said Jacobson.

The choreographer also held a special performance Tuesday night at Herrin Elementary School.
