MURPHYSBORO -- A Dongola man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a burglary in Jackson County.

Armand M. Clemmons, 34, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of residential burglary.

Prosecutors say Clemmons and a second man stole items from a rural Murphysboro home in late May.

Clemmons was found hiding in a Murphysboro business shortly after the burglary and taken into custody. The second man, Ramon Rodriguez, was later arrested at his home. Authorites said stolen property was found at both locations.

In addition to his 10-year prison sentence, Clemmons will also serve three years of mandatory supervised release.

Rodriguez pleaded guilty in June and was sentenced to five years in prison.
