Carbondale Warning Siren Error

CARBONDALE -- Many Carbondale residents got a rude awakening early Saturday morning, thanks to a glitch with the outdoor warning sirens. The sirens went off just after 5 a.m., and it was not exactly the type of alarm clock folks wanted to hear on a Saturday morning. With no signs of imminent danger, many folks did not know what was going.

The Carbondale Police Department released a statement later Saturday morning, stating the sirens were inadvertently activated.
