Bank Robbery Under Investigation in Murphysboro

MURPHYSBORO -- Police have released surveillance images of a bank robbery Tuesday in Murphysboro.
It happened just after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Old National Bank.
Police say two men armed with a handgun demanded money then ran from the building.

MURPHYSBORO -- Murphysboro Police are releasing more details about a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery.
It happened around 3:10 p.m. at Old National Bank on Walnut Street.
Chief Brian Hollo says two men armed with handguns and wearing bandanas over their faces took money from the bank then ran southwest of the building.

MURPHYSBORO -- Police in Murphysboro are investigating a bank robbery. It happened Tuesday afternoon at Old National Bank on Walnut Street.
A spokesperson for Old National Bank confirmed the robbery and said associates and clients were "shaken up" but were okay.
This is the second time in less than four months that Old National Bank in Murphysboro has been robbed.
On Jan. 29, a man with a gun demanded money, took the cash and ran. That robbery has not yet been solved.
The FBI, Murphysboro Police, Carbondale Police and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to the bank Tuesday afternoon.
