Arrest Made in Mt. Vernon Shooting

MT. VERNON -- Police in Mt. Vernon says one teen has been arrested and another is wanted after shots were fired Sunday evening.

It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday between the 700 and 800 blocks of Conger Avenue.

Mt. Vernon Police Chief Chris Mendenall told News 3 that seven to ten shots were fired after two people got into a fight. No one was injured.

Mendenall says a teen was arrested Monday and is being held in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center in Benton.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for a second teen in connection with the shooting.
