Another Armed Robbery in Murphysboro

UPDATE 1:45 P.M. SUNDAY JAN. 26, 2014

MURPHYSBORO -- Police responded to an attempted armed robbery Saturday night at the Amstar gas station on the 1500 block of Walnut street in Murphysboro. Authorities say 31-year-old Jo Lynn Gentry of Murphysboro entered the business just after 10 p.m., showed a knife and demanded the cashier to give her "all the money".

Police say the cashier then took out a taser and told Gentry to put away the knife and leave the store. Gentry left and was eventually arrested at her home around midnight. 

She is charged with attempted armed robbery.

MURPHYSBORO -- Police say they now have a suspect in custody for the AmStar armed robbery Saturday night. Authorities arrested 31-year-old Jo Lynn Gentry.

MURPHYSBORO -- Murphysboro police say there has been another attempted armed robbery. It happened at the AmStar gas station around 10 p.m. Saturday night. Authorities say a single person attempted the robbery.
