ORIGINAL STORY

MCCRACKEN CO. -- A crash involving a McCracken County school bus sends nine children to the hospital.

The accident happened around 7:40 a.m. at the intersection of US 62 and KY 286.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a 1967 Ford Mustang hydroplaned, crossed the center line and hit the school bus head-on. The bus then left the road and landed in a ditch.

Nine children, as well as the bus driver and driver of the Mustang, were taken to area hospitals for what deputies describe as minor injuries.

Authorities say the children on the bus ranged in age from 6 to 10 years old.
