3 Jackson County Residents Charged With Meth Conspiracy
WSIL -- Three Jackson County residents are facing federal meth charges.
George G. Oliver, 55, of Makanda, Toni J. Johnson, 32, and Sommer C. Koons, 30, both of Murphysboro, are charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
According to Stephen Wigginton, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, the crime occurred over a four-year period in Jackson and Union Counties.
Court documents show Koons was released last week on a personal recognizance bond. Oliver and Johnson remain in custody.
All three are scheduled for a jury trial on February 10. Each faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
