MASSAC CO. -- An investigation into thefts in southeast Missouri has led to the arrests of three southern Illinois residents.

The Massac County Sheriff's Office and Mississippi County, Missouri Sheriff's Office began a joint investigation after large fuel tanks and trailers were reported stolen from ag suppliers.

Mississippi County deputies arrested Dusty Baker, 34, and his brother Rusty Baker, 36, both of Brookport, along with Erica Neighbors, 28, of Pope County.

During a search of the Bakers' properties in Brookport, investigators discovered drugs, guns, and more stolen items, including a riding lawn mower, Kubota tractor and a Bush Hog. Authorities say the lawn mower was stolen out of McCracken County; the Bush Hog is believed to have been taken from a business in the Missouri Bootheel.

Neighbors, Dusty Baker, and Rusty Baker are being held in the Mississippi County Jail on charges of receiving stolen property. The Massac County Sheriff's Office says more charges and more arrests are expected.
