2 Arrested for Burglary

JACKSON CO. -- Two Murphysboro men face charges after a Tuesday morning burglary in Jackson County.

Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were called to a home on Highway 149 east of Murphysboro around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday. A witness reported seeing two men carrying items from the house then leaving in a teal Chevy sedan.

Investigators arrested Armond M. Clemons, 34, and Ramon E. Rodriguez, 22, for residential burglary and possession of stolen property. Clemons was also charged with obstructing a police officer.

In addition to the charges, Rodriguez was found to have an active Jackson County warrant.

Both were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
