Eight Saluki Community Scholar Scholarships Available

CARBONDALE, IL (November 16, 2011) – Old National Bank and 710 Book Store announce Saluki Community Scholar scholarship applications will be accepted until Wednesday, February 1.

Eight Saluki Community Scholar scholarships will be awarded to a graduating high school senior with plans to attend SIU Carbondale or a returning or transfer student who has achieved 56 total credit hours. These scholarships have been established to reward and recognize two incoming or current Southern Illinois University students each from Jefferson, Saline, Wabash and White counties who have shown a continued commitment to serve their community through volunteer service.

Each scholarship will consist of a $500 grant each semester for four consecutive semesters, excluding summer classes, and is for the purpose of purchasing books and school supplies from 710 Book Store South Illinois location in Carbondale only.

Application and eligibility guidelines are available at 710 Bookstore in Carbondale and Old National Bank locations in Mt. Vernon, Harrisburg, Mt. Carmel and Carmi. Applications will be accepted November 21, 2011.
