News Anchor

Jalah Gray co-anchors News 3 at 6 and 10 with Dennis Turner.

She joined the WSIL team in May 2013, and although she was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, she loves living here in southern Illinois.

She began her career in the region known as Texoma, on the border of north Texas and southeast Oklahoma, as a multimedia journalist at KXII. There she worked as a one-man-band reporter, shooting, writing and editing content for 5 shows, 5 days a week. Next she worked at KTEN as the weekend anchor and producer, and as a one-man-band reporter 3 nights during the week.

During her years in Texoma she covered such major stories as the aftermath of a devastating EF3 tornado that leveled the town of Tushka, Oklahoma in April 2011, and evidence hearings for one of the longest serving inmates on Texas' death row, Lester Leroy Bower.

Jalah graduated Suma Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor's degree in mass communication: broadcast journalism, with a minor in Spanish.

She has a passion for people and journalism. She loves telling a good story, so don't hesitate to contact her with news tips.

She's an animal lover so in her free time, she loves spending time with family, friends and of course her rescued beagle mix, Suzy.
