WSIL News 3 is seeking candidates for part-time associate producer/video editor.  This shifts vary. weekdays and weekends (25 hours per week). Experience working with FinalCut Pro or similar video editing software required.  

Candidates must be a team player, and have ability to work under daily deadline for our newscasts. Background in broadcasting or video production highly desired.

PRODUCER SEARCH FULL-TIME - POSTED AUG. 14, 2015

Producer(s) Full-Time– WSIL-TV, Southern Illinois (81st DMA) has immediate openings for two (2) full-time producers 

for morning and evening shifts.  The ideal candidate is a strong writer and pays attention to detail.  You should have at least one-year experience of producing daily newscasts and/or experience working in a television newsroom.  Must have solid news judgment and thrive on breaking news. 

 Strong communication and writing skills, a journalism background and solid computer skills are reqired.  Knowledge of ENPS, Ignite and non-linear editing is a plus.  Candidates must be familiar using social media to communicate to viewers.  Prior experience in associate producing and/or line producing for commercial station newscast a plus.  Experience with Associated Press ENPS newsroom system and FinalCut Pro editing equipment a plus.

BROADCAST/ MMJ REPORTER SEARCH FULL-TIME - POSTED AUG. 14, 2015

Reporter Full-Time– WSIL-TV has an opening for a multi-media broadcast journalist.  Prefer candidates with one to two years professional newsroom experience and a degree in journalism

 or mass communications.  Must demonstrate ability to write, shoot and edit under deadline.  We are looking for an enterprising reporter who knows how to develop a beat and local sources.
