FAIRFIELD -- A Fairfield high school teacher has been arrested and suspended from teaching after being accused of secretly videotaping female students.

School officials released a letter Saturday informing parents and students of the situation involving math teacher and track coach Timothy Going. The letter states earlier this week, custodial staff found a video recording device in the girl's high school locker room. Officials called State Police to investigate.

The letter does not disclose how Going is involved in the situation, but that a substitute teacher will take over his class for the remainder of the school year. Counselors will also be available to meet with students.

Going has been suspended with pay pending completion of the investigation.
