The Marshlands of Southern Illinois series was inspired from Karen Linduska’s appreciation for the importance of marshlands as nature’s filtering system in addition to its inherent beauty.
Linduska paints and dyes fabric and incorporates upholstery fabric, sheers, silk, yarn, plastic, paper, wood, buttons and her decorative thread painting technique to achieve the deep texture and richly blended color in her art quilts.
