Opening this Valentine’s Day, The Stage Company presents LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS, written by Neil Simon and directed by Lee Brackett. To help celebrate the Sweetheart Season, there will be a cash bar including champagne and a chocolate fountain with strawberries available before each performance and during intermission.Return to event list.
The Story: Middle-aged and married, overworked and overweight, Barney Cashman wants to join the sexual revolution before it's too late and arranges three seductions: the first, Elaine Navazio proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses; Bobbi Michele is next, a 20-ish actress who's too kooky by half; and finally comes September and Jeanette Fisher, a gloomy, depressed and conflicted housewife, and sternly driven moralist, who sees sin round every bend, and happens to be married to Barney's best friend. It would seem the long-married, restaurateur, Barney, is born to failure as he tries desperately to "sprinkle a little paprika into the clam dip of his life."
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 For students, with $5 "Student Appreciation Day" tickets on Feb. 16, Sunday matinee.
