October 24 - Berries from your home garden, really?
Grow and harvest sweet strawberries, luscious blueberries and succulent raspberries in your own backyard. This class is designed to help you understand the basics of establishing your plants, pruning, and managing the most common pests. UI Extension Educator Sonja Lallemand will get you started with these small fruits and help you avoid common beginner’s mistakes.
October 31 - Herbs 101
Join Master Gardener Denise Straub and learn the basics of growing some the most common herbs like parsley, lavender, rosemary. Discover their uses, traditional, medicinal and culinary; the easy ways to preserve them for later use.
November 7 - What can you grow in a square foot?
Conventional gardening can require heavy tools to loosen the soil in a large plot. Gardening then becomes a chore. With Master Gardener Rita Cook, discover the joy of growing your own food in much less space, and easily harvest your own bounty throughout the growing season.
