Local author Bruce Cline of the Little Egypt Ghost Society has just released the third installment of strange and fascinating tales of Southern Illinois. Cline will sign copies of Even More History, Mystery and Hauntings of Southern Illinois from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. The book sells for $12.95. Copies of the first two books in the series also will be available for signing.Return to event list.
Cline is the first of two authors appearing at the Bookworm on Saturday afternoon. Southern Illinois humorist Alex Paull will sign copies of his newly published book, I and I Are from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
Paull's book tells tales of 1960s ganja growing, draft dodging, pursuit up and down the Mississippi River, Leonard Peltier native american protests, and the enlightenment of Rasta Reasoning on all these experiences. The narrative is in the dialects of Southern Illinois and Jamaica and is based on historical events. Paull's book sells for $14.95.
