Using the actual court transcripts from the Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Hollingsworth v. Perry) trial, and first-hand interviews, "8" shows both sides of the marriage equality debate in a moving 90-minute play. It demystifies the issues by examining the historical context of marriage, looking at the human cost of discrimination, and probing the arguments used to justify bans on marriage for gay and lesbian couples.
Admission is FREE. The reading is open to the entire public. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
