Rock Musical, "Hair"
Date(s) & Time(s)::
Location: McLeod Theater, Communications Building, SIU Carbondale Campus
The McLeod Summer Playhouse 2013 Season opens June 21 with the landmark rock musical HAIR. HAIR is set in the counter-cultural revolution of the 1960s. It is the story of a group of young people living the “peace, love, freedom and happiness life-style,” and searching for personal identity. At the center is a young man drafted into the army who is torn between his pacifistic life and his sense of duty. At its heart, the play is a reflection on the high cost of war and a tribute to those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.Return to event list.
