Mother & Daughter Tea to Benefit The Women’s Center

"The Mother & Daughter Tea is an opportunity for mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts, nieces, and all their friends to get together, and celebrate Mother’s Day a little early.Return to event list.
The Women’s Center serves seven counties in southern Illinois ~ Franklin, Jackson, Johnson, Perry, Saline, Union and Williamson. We are inviting the ladies of those seven counties to join with The Women’s Center staff, board and volunteers to show their support of our mission by attending.”
There will be a silent auction, story time for the youngest ladies, and the Mother’s Day Marketplace.
The silent auction tables will feature items for all ages, including handcrafted dolls, spa baskets, tea sets, Waterford Crystal, jewelry, and a Little Black Dress Party basket with two premier tickets to this year’s event.
Cristaudo’s will be catering with a selection of tea sandwiches, crab, quiche, and savory turnovers. Cool Spoons in Carbondale and SIU Women’s Golf are this year’s sponsors.
Entertainment for the Tea is being provided by 14 year old singer/songwriter Hannah Herron, and the SIU School of Music Community Outreach.
Tickets for the Mother & Daughter Tea are now available at The Women’s Center, 610 S. Thompson Street, Carbondale, IL 62901, by mail, or by contacting Ursiniby phone or email. Advanced tickets are $20 for adults, and $15 for young ladies under 12. Tickets at the door are $25 for adults, and $20 for young ladies under 12. Reserved table for 8 is $150, advanced purchase only.
The Women’s Center has offices in Carbondale at 610 South Thompson Street, in Marion at 1108 North Carbon Street, and at the Franklin County Courthouse. Its mission is to end domestic violence and sexual assault against women and children in southern Illinois and to assist survivors of these crimes and their non-offending significant others.
