Paducah Symphony Orchestra to Perform Annual Christmas Concert: "A Christmas Celebration"

The concert will feature great Christmas classics such as Carol of the Bells, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year and Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas amongst other holiday favorites. Included in the performance will be the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, the Paducah Symphony Chorus, the PSO Children/Youth Choruses as well as a performance by local saxophonist, Reggie Lafaye. The concert will be led by Maestro Raffaele Ponti, the Paducah Symphony Orchestra’s Artistic Director and Conductor. The Paducah Symphony Youth Orchestra will also perform prior to the concert in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. And, a special guest is on tap to arrive during the concert, all the way from the North Pole!Return to event list.
This year, an Audience Selection has been added to the program as a fundraiser for the Paducah Symphony Youth Orchestra. According to monetary votes raised by the PSYO, either Let it Snow, Let it Snow or We Wish You a Merry Christmas will be performed by the Paducah Symphony Orchestra and Choruses. The selection that receives the most monetary votes will be performed during the Audience Selection portion of the concert. Online voting has begun and anyone may cast a vote by visiting PaducahSymphony.org prior to the concert. Monetary votes will also be taken the evening of the concert by PSYO members and will conclude at the end of intermission. Donations for the fundraiser are also being accepted by current members of the PSYO as well as in the Paducah Symphony office in Downtown Paducah.
