On Friday, December 7, and Saturday, December 8th, the big screen will glow with the 1946 Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” . George Baily has a new guardian angel, along with personal problems that threaten his life. The scene with four year old Tommy Baily that still brings a flood of memories for all ages, is part of the magic. Showtime is 7:00 p.m.
And, on Saturday at 2:00 pm is another family classic, “A Christmas Story”, back to the nostalgic 1940’s when a little boy wanted a Red Ryder BB Gun. The story is a quiet lesson, and the ending is…..a classic for all ages.
On December 14th at 7:00 p.m. Nathan Clark George returns to the Historic Liberty for the 8th annual Christmas Concert. Admission to the classic movies is by donation. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dollar concessions will be available and lighted lot parking is just steps away from the front door.
All proceeds go to support the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the Theater now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
