National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Genealogy Workshop - District VII

The Illinois State Organization, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be hosting a free DAR genealogy workshop. The workshop is open to the public.Return to event list.
Topics to be addressed include family history research methods, tips for overcoming hurdles and proper steps to accurately fill out the DAR application form which records your lineal descent from a Revolutionary War Patriot. Do you want to find out if you had an ancestor who lived during Colonial times? This workshop will guide you through the steps and provide information about free databases and resources.
Following the session, attendees can stay for one-on-one assistance with their personal genealogical research. Wi-Fi is available for those who bring their laptops.
Reservations are necessary to make sure space is adequate and to have enough handouts available.
