HARRISBURG -- Weather has been a huge factor for many teams this spring, forcing many ball clubs to move the schedules around accordingly. Looking to avoid the bad weather Wednesday, Anna-Jonesboro and Murphysboro met in Harrisburg to duke it out.
CARTERVILLE - The Carterville Lions and their three-game win streak hosted Waterloo on Saturday.
LAKE OF EGYPT-- The Marion Bass Fishing team hosted it's fourth annual invitational Friday. A record turnout for the tournament this year with 19 schools filling out 71 teams, and the fish were biting out there with 43 boats bringing back the 5 fish limit.
GOREVILLE-- The Gorevilel Blackcats played host to the Woodlawn Cardinals Friday.

CAMPBELL HILL -- Two juggernauts of the softball diamond met for a clash of the titans at Trico Wednesday. The Illinois Coaches' Association's #6 Pioneers, playing host to the #7 Pinckneyville Panthers.
GALATIA - The Galatia-Thompsonville softball team has won a regional crown six out of the last seven years and the Lady Bearcats are off to a good start this season.
HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg Bulldogs hosted Benton on Tuesday afternoon.
WSIL -- When a student athlete plays multiple sports a year, it can be quite the challenge to keep up with academics. Each year, the IHSA selects 26 student-athletes across Illinois for its All-State Academic Team.
MARION - Marissa Holmes has been a competitive gymnast since she was four. But this spring, the Marion senior opted to try track instead.
CARTERVILLE - Twenty-four high school seniors from 17 different high schools suited up for the All-Star Classic Basketball game at John A. Logan College on Sunday afternoon.
CARBONDALE -- The 20th annual Fralish Cup girls soccer tournament kicked off in Carbondale Friday, with Cape Notre Dame, Waterloo, Marion and Carbondale picking up opening round wins.
HARRISBURG -- Isaiah Saulsberry finished a great high school career as Harrisburg's all-time leading scorer. Saulsberry's next stop will be St. Louis--Maryville University to be specific.

NASHVILLE - Nashville and Pinckneyville softball entered their matchup on Monday 2-0 in conference play.
MURPHYSBORO - The Murphysboro girls soccer team is off to a 6-1-1 start to their 2018 season.
MARION - Twenty-one students make up the IHSA’s student advisory council. The current representative for Southern Illinois is Carterville senior Austin Knight. But with Knight graduating in a few weeks, the IHSA needed to find his replacement and they found that replacement in Marion high school freshman Rece Roper.
INA - The Lion's Club hosted its annual boys' and girls' basketball games on Friday night at Rend Lake College.
